By using the Claris African Experience website or any of our booking, travel, or property management services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Client Booking Terms (Claris African Experience)
Section for Clients Booking Stays With Us
Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received. The remaining balance must be paid before arrival according to the provided payment schedule.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 3 months prior to check-in receive a full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made within 3 months of check-in will receive a voucher equal to the deposit.
- The voucher is valid for 1 year and can be used at any Claris African Experience property.
- No-show or cancellations within 20 days of arrival: No refund or voucher will be issued, and the full amount paid will be retained as a penalty.
Amendments to Bookings
Requests to change booking dates or details must be made in writing.
All amendments depend on availability and may result in additional fees.
Check-in & Check-out
- Check-in: From 2:00 PM
- Check-out: By 10:00 AM
(Unless otherwise arranged in advance.)
Guests must present valid identification at check-in.
Property Guidelines
Guests must follow all property rules provided at check-in. Respect for the home, neighbors, and surrounding environment is required.
Liability & Damages
Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.
Claris African Experience reserves the right to charge for repairs or withhold part of the deposit to cover damages.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for events beyond our control, including natural disasters, war, or government restrictions.
Governing Law
These terms follow the applicable laws of Kenya.
Third-Party Providers
Claris African Experience is not responsible for third-party providers, including but not limited to:
- Drivers
- Tour operators
- Activity companies
Guests participate in any external activities at their own risk.

Terms for Travelers & Guests
Accommodation Bookings
- A booking becomes confirmed once payment is received and a confirmation message is issued.
- This confirmation creates a binding agreement.
Payment Terms
- Deposits and deadlines depend on the property or service.
- Accepted: M-Pesa, bank transfer.
- All payments in Kenyan Shillings (KES).
Cancellation Policy
Refunds depend on notice given before check-in, according to the policy shown during booking.
Check-in / Check-out
- Standard times apply
- Guests must show ID and payment confirmation
Guest Responsibilities
Guests must follow:
- House rules (noise control, pool safety, chef/housekeeping use)
- Damage liability rules
- Policies on smoking, pets, and maximum occupancy
Services Included
Each property lists its included services such as:
- WiFi
- Daily housekeeping
- Optional chef service
- 24/7 security
Extras like airport transfers and excursions can be booked through our team.
Tours & Excursions
- Advance payment required
- Cancellations depend on the tour provider
- Certain activities involve risks; participation is at guests’ own risk

Terms for Homeowners & Property Owners
Management Agreement
All owners sign an official Owner Management Contract before their property is listed.
Scope of Services
Claris African Experience provides:
- Listing & marketing
- Guest support
- Booking management
- Housekeeping
- Maintenance & inspections
- Revenue and occupancy optimization
Financial Terms
- Management fees (percentage or fixed) are stated in the Owner Contract.
- Rental income is collected and disbursed as per agreement.
- Maintenance, utilities, and repair costs may be deducted as outlined.
Maintenance & Access
Owners authorize:
- Regular maintenance
- Emergency repairs
- Property inspections
- Access by Claris staff (coordinators, cleaners, fundis)
Owner Responsibilities
Owners must:
- Maintain brand-level standards
- Provide necessary insurance
- Notify Claris of changes to the property or availability
- Listing & marketing
Website Use & Intellectual Property
- All text, photos, logos, and content belong to Claris African Experience.
- Pricing, details, and availability may change without notice.
- Users may not reproduce website content without written permission.
